Didn't mean to imply any experience with this particular company but the red flags you mention (crypto currency or direct wire) would have me very skeptical.  But being a UK company they probably mainly have equipment designed for 230 volt mains.

I recently bought an Icon preamp which is built in the UK but they referred me to their distributor in Canada for the US market version.

I'm in the UK; it seems odd to me. I have never come across this company previously - I google Hifi gear a lot and this company I've never noticed in Google searches. Which is strange

If you were a company selling such items you'd think you'd strive for a greater web visibility/exposure, but there seems to be hardly any; not in the UK at any rate. There was a post on a UK consumer retailer review site from March 23,which gives a warning. Here's what he wrote:

Too good of a selection of high end products.
- Prices too good (60-80% of expected prices).
- Very few to no informations available online about the company.
- Advertises on a Hungarian marketplace (only).
- Denys escrow service.
- Provided photo of the unit (with their watermarks on the picture) shows a US power socket, while item supposedly is in the UK.

Thank you all for your viewpoints - It's pretty much reinforcing my thoughts. Did some more searching and whois shows the website being created last June - not too old. Front page says they started  their business in 2007 and they're just entering their 8th year in business in 2015. Math isn't my strong suit but even I know that info is 8 years old. More you dig, the stinkier it gets...
