Thanks Jafant.  Apologize for the delayed reply, holiday travels and all that. One good positive outcome for me during the pandemic was to dedicate an upstairs bedroom into a dedicated 2 channel listening room. The room is on the small side, 12x13 with a bay window, but if you cram enough acoustic treatment in you can somewhat manage the base and reduce the standing waves. Stating with the source, a VPI prime scout TT with Ortofon 2m black cartridge, OPPO 103d CD transport fully modified by OPPO Mod, Gustard X26 DAC, Rouge RP1 Preamp, Carver 275 Crimson tube amp, and finally Dali Epicon 2 speakers. Truly have enjoyed getting back into my Jazz, Blues, and Poet's collections. The Southern Rock, Art Rock, and Rock n Roll bands I still listen to in my living room surround system to enjoy the larger stage.

Swapped out all power cables for Silnote"s Poseidon. Also ran a dedicated 40 amp 10g circuit from the panel to the room. For interconnects and speaker wire, I went more economical and are using SKW's top of the line cables from Amazon. Good quality occ copper, well built with solid connectors. I am quite pleased with what I have but would like to add a set of SS monoblocks just to compare experiences.

Thanks and enjoy,

Dennis

I am looking for any enthusiast in the Pensacola area. Saw an earlier post where this Gulf coast region is an audio dessert. Would have to agree. I know none in my circles and I was born and raised here. Used to spend a lot of time at Grice Electronics and then later at All Pro. That should indicate how long I've been around and enjoying music listening.
