Another new DAC: Audio Mirror

Yes, great post. The AM tubadour is addictive, a great addition to my system for all the reasons terry mentioned. 

I have decided on this DAC. I am going to have the Milflex caps, Vishay resistors, and USB power supply installed.  I will receive delivery in January, at my request. Vlad is great to work with. 

Thanks everyone for their support. It was this thread (thanks rja!) that directed me towards this purchase. I am in the process of upgrading my system, starting from the source. 

Audio123, I am considering an isolation approach similar to your own. 

Well, I received my Tubadour yesterday and have put about 7 hours on it. I am very pleased with the sound and understand it will only get better. I use it with a Cambridge CXC transport. It replaced a Bryston BDA-1, which I felt is a very good DAC also. 

I will get back after my unit has broken in.

jtcf, Right now I am using a Audioquest VDM-5 coax cable. Once I sort out the other changes I wish to make in my system I may consider a change in cabling. I am happy with the DAC however have only about 30 hrs. on it. Will have an extended listening session today.  Like you, I would have considered the Orchid also however learning the Tubedour had a tube output stage vs. buffer swayed me to the Tuba. 

I will check into the Silnote cable when the time comes.
