amp hiss impact on speakers

Hello,

As is the norm, my amplifier creates a light hiss in both speakers. I do not notice this until I put my head up to the speaker. It's non-existent while playing music... My interest is in the impact on the speakers, longterm. Does endless hiss (24x7) wear on the tweeter?

Room correction or anything else you mentioned does nothing to get rid of the hiss from the speakers.  What will a sub do to get rid of the hiss when it’s coming from the tweeters?  Is the person running tube electronics, if so, that is probably the cause.
