Hello, I just purchased a pair of Alon IIs and was wondering what ancilliary equipment folks out there are using with these speakers. I'd heard them driven by 200 watt Krells with XLO cables and they sounded quite nice but, alas, such is the stuff of dreams (and not my finances). Thank you
I have listened to the Alons with Aragon and synergistic research spks cables and interconnects. Very good but can be a little expensive. Might be some used stuff out there.
I have a pair on alon IIs hooked up to a B&K AV5000 II Amp via tara labs bi-wire, my pre is also a b&k (avp 1030). Very good neutral sound. I added a sunfire mkII sub and I was worried about matching it with the Alons. They meshed extremely well. Good Luck!
