Allman Brothers Band new release 3/18/03

"Hittin' The Note" is the name of it. Looking forward to this, anyone else into them? With Dickey Betts departure, the Brothers have taken on a much more "muscular" hard blues sound. I have hard many of the tunes from the new release live, it should be an outstanding album! What are your thoughts?

i hope dickey is doing well wherever he is, i feel he will be missed & i hope the band keeps on playin' too. he was always my favorite guitarist in the band. we are spoiled here in central florida & have gotten to see the band in many incarnations & venues over the years.
The band is just not the same without Dicky. I will be there at the Beacon in NYC on Sat. March 29th 9th row center because I love their music. It has not been the ssame without Dicky. He just gets to another level when he is playing with them.
Dickey has put out 2 great CDs since departing the ABB. The most recent one "The Collectors #1" is an acoustic outing that is FANTASTIC! A very good quality recording as well.
