After-market mod for VTL TL 2.5

Just acquired an older (10+) VTL TL 2.5 pre-amp with phono section. Does anyone know of an after-market mod/upgrade that's available? Unfortunately, VTL does not offer an upgrade path for their older units and I cannot afford $7000 for a current TL 2.5 with phono. Appreciate your input.

I used to have the TL 2.5. If you look inside quite a bit of room to make  upgrades or improvements. 

1. coupling caps 
2. bypasses on main filter caps.  
3. bypasses on the coupling caps. 
4. soft recovery diodes in the power supply. 

Do not know of any kits that are available, but the unit is not hard to work on.
