A 45 rpm adaptor available at any Linn dealer or online for around $40. It slips over the 33 rpm pulley, a rubber o-ring insures a snug fit without slippage.
Add 45 RPM to an LP12
I have an old 1970’s Linn LP12 - US, 33 RPM only, square orange button, 60 Hz motor. I just want to add 45 RPM capability at this time. I am hoping an experienced Linn expert can suggest a simple, easy, cost-effective way to accomplish this among the many possible solutions that are available. The many choices, upgrades and sources have me confused. Thanks in advance for any help.

The OP has the original square power button. 45RPM is achieved just like saburo states above... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Linn-Sondek-LP12-33rmp-to-45rmp-adaptor-adapter-connecter/143374084492?hash=item2161c2e98c:g:yMkAAOSwSlhdcF~n |
