My limited knowledge in DSP seems to show possible timing errors with it's use. Maggies are time/phase coherent speakers, so YMMV.

Active versus Passive Crossover - Magnepan 1.7i & dspNexus
There are often discussions about active versus passive crossovers. It is hard to have an opportunity to compare the same speaker directly with just the crossover changed.
Next week at Axpona 2024 (Room 356) we are doing a demo with our dspNexus 2/8 DSP Audio Processor that switches between the internal passive crossover of a Magnepan 1.7i and a 3 way active crossover design.
One of the reasons for picking the 1.7i is that it is a popular and well regarded loudspeaker that many people are familiar with. It has been discussed many times on this forum.
