Accuphase P1000 amp

I have a P1000 which I note in the specs is described as "Constant voltage output". Is this the same as "current driven"?
I have "current output" mode on my Halcro preamp and would like to try it to hear the difference, but don't want to damage anything. Even with the Halcro amps that have the "cuurent mode" switch, I believe you must check that both switches on amp and Pre are in the correct position.
Anyone know whether the Accuphase is able to be fed in this mode?
