Accuphase new T1000 tuner better than old 109V?

I own and really like the 109V tuner. Anybody who has compared the old tuner vs the new? Should I buy the new one?
Unfortunatly the is no dealer where I live so I can´t compare for myself. I have to buy "blind" so any input is valuble!
