AC cord for Manley Chinook...

I'd like to replace the power cord for my Manley Chinook phone preamp. Currently, I am using an older Pangea 14 SE.

I'm sure I can do better, but what are some considerations when selecting a power cord for a phono pre? In the scheme of the  AC cabling ladder, what is the level of importance with the phono pre-amplifier in the scheme of an entire system?

Power cables are important, and your Chinook certainly deserves a good PC.  I’d say budgeting around 10% of the component price is reasonable as to how much to spend, but the most important thing is that it provides the improvements and sound characteristics you’re looking for.  Read reviews to see which ones sound like they offer what you’re looking for and go from there.  There are some good manufacturers who sell direct and offer generous trial periods, and that’s what I’d do if I were you.  Here are a couple that are highly regarded and worth exploring…
