Abour EAR 834 Int Amp activating phono stage

Dear Audiogon Community,

Need some help!!!
I have connected my turntable to the phono channel on the back of the amp and am not getting a true signal along with very weak sound. Can anyone offer up a solution so I can spin my vinyl?
