A Question: What makes for Good Vinyl?

Classic Records were very iffy toward the end. I have the Miles Davis 5-LP set that includes “Workin’”, etc. some of those LPs bear gross distortions not found on the originals, most of which I also own.

My own experience is different. I’ve got many LPs based on digital masters that sound fantastic. And I’m somewhat phobic about digital.
