A legacy

I will  inherit a pair of Paragon Regents from my wifes brother. They were built by the builder. Neil Welsh worked at Paragon Acoustics as a finish carpenter building Paragon speakers for several years. I am not sure how long he worked there. His work impeccable. I designed my DYI speakers to look like Regents, larger, different components, different speaker altogether. Neil built the cases with me. He was the case builder, I did the rest. They sound really good. Soon, I will be able to compare them with the Regents. I will be picking them up in the next week. My DYI speakers weigh 85lbs each. The Regents which are lead lined are going to be 150lbs minimum each. Neil wanted me to have the Regents knowing what a speaker dude I am. He was supposed to live only 6 months with stage 4 cancer. From a 200lb vibrant man to a 110lb man. Before his passing he worked with social services teachng people who were out of work how to work with wood, building items out of wood. Games for people, children, puzzles, toys, many other things to be donated. He loved teaching others the trade even in his weakened state. He made it 3 more years suffering many horrible setbacks. The toughest man I ever met. He died last week. As I get pictures together of interest, I will post them. Update the sound I hear. On my profile I will picture the Regents in his Honor beside my DYI.
