2 or 3 way socket

Hello everyone, I’m setting up my first analog system and for starters I only have one wall socket to plug both the amp and record player, with that in mind, what would be the best budget solution? Thinking £30 tops but ideally £15 if possible.

I’m in the UK and the amp is a Sony DB 930 with 100w per channel, as I’m using two speakers (no sub) do I need to look for some adaptor that handles a minimum of 200w?

I did some reading but I was getting more confused, it seemed that some people use hospital grade stuff, if that’s a good idea, would you have any recommendation?

Sorry if this is too boring of a subject, am I correct in being concerned or will any 2 way socket do? Actually I'd like a 3-way in case I need to plug a reading light or something else, or is that not ideal?

Thanks in advance from another noob dive in :O

it seemed that some people use hospital grade stuff,
When hospital-grade is recommended it usually applies to the AC wall receptacle (grounded).

The MCRU power strip looks like a great idea, it gives you flexibility to expand your system. It also gives you the choice of power cable to plug into the wall.

Your amp is 200w + reading lamp <100w = 300w. You can get a 4 way surge protector board rated at 1200-2000e at an electronics/HiFi shop.
My advise is not to buy one of those cheap items you linked to. Those are for use with computers, not really for high quality audio.
You should look for a unit built using quality parts that can handle high current (amps). It should be thought of as one of your audio components, since it will affect the sound quality of your amp and components.
