Small monitors for tv/music The psb B1's are nice. A lot cheaper. Tough to beat for the money. I am a dealer however.
Looking for Jamo parts - from the mid 80's Try Madisound.
How far off are wireless audiophile speakers? IMO, no. I've heard many that are really good for parties, DJ systems, ect. The convenience is certainly nice. For serious listening, I can't imagine I will ditch the wires in my lifetime.
seeking 55 inch LED TV matte Screen, 2011 model Good luck getting any help on Videogon. I've yet to ever sell a single thing on there. (not much traffic) I just jumped over there for the heck of it, and if they even have a forum, I didn't see it. I would say of the two, this is the better place...
Carver VS Adcom I've used both, and we have actually sold both at the store I work for. I still have some Sunfire gear at home that I use every day in a 2nd system. I have always found the Carver equipment to be over rated power wise. The Adcom, just the opposite...
Just finished my 7.1 set-up Which Arcam player? Did you try it instead of the Sony?
Kudos to Madisound I also have had dealings with Madisound. I've refered people to them as well. If you email them, you can expect a reply, and it doesn't take long. If I need help with a speaker issue, they are my first, and usually last call.
Help fellow AV designers Speakercraft makes a "Time five" model that mounts flush in the ceiling and is motorized. It drops down, pivots into position and can be set at different degree angles. They can be set for about 15, 30, or 45 degrees if memory serves. Also for dif...
Bravia KDL46-NX810 vs Samsung UN46C8000XF It's tough to beat the Sony. (we sell them) That being said, after years of having all Sony in my house, I've switched. Sony does not offer a plasma anymore, and IMO, the LCD's, and LED's are just not as good a picture. You can have issues with ga...
portable ipod speakers? The JBL "on stage" is a really portable unit. (if shes anything like my wife, it would fit in her purse) Both of my kids have one, and my wife has the bigger "Time Machine" in our bathroom. Don't let the size fool you, they sound amazingly good fo...
Nakamichi PA-7 KEEPER?? We used to sell the Nak gear years ago. If the price was right, I'd buy one in a second. Really good amp for the money IMO.
Is it okay to talk around your speakers? I never talk around my speakers. Don't even whisper. Even thinking near them can cause problems. Be careful what you have on for jeans at the time also.
Seasoned ears only I still own, and listen almost daily, to a pair of Dahlquist DQM9's. I bought them new from a dealer I now work for, back in 1985. I wasn't even a year out of high school. I remember like yesterday, listening to Heart's "Dog and Butterfly" album o...
Velodyne FSX12 Robin,I have 3 Velo's in my house. 2 F-1200r's, and an HGS 18. I really like them a lot. That being said, I have had issues with the accelerometers in 2 of the three over the years. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy another one. (i would) It's somethi...
Audio Gear Opinions The Arcam AVR600 is an awesome piece. I am however a dealer. I used one in my home for quite some time. I loved it. I finally sold it because a friend bugged me until I finally sold it to him. I now have an AVR-9, paired with a P7. The P7 might ha... |
