Esoteric K-01X or K-03X??
i believe 176.4 is limited to 4FS. One thing you may be experiencing is that you need to burn in every combination of settings for both RBCD playback as well as SACD.  Things will not sound their best until you do with the K01, K03, 02 or 01 separ...
Esoteric K-01X or K-03X??
What filter setting are you using?  Did you try 176.4 upconversion with SDLY2 or SDLY1 filter?

Correct in the case of the K-01X; it only has a WORD CLOCK IN connector which is 75-ohm (as with other Eso gear). It does not have a separate 10Mhz input.

The 10Mhz inputs on the Esoteric gear is spec'ed at 50-ohm, not 75-ohm. The "WORD CLOCK" In and Out BNC connections on Esoteric gear is spec'ed at 75-ohm.  Put another way, if you use an atomic/other external clock standard to supply a 10Mhz pulse...

$16K new/used speaker question?
Legacy Audio Focus SE or AERIS fits that price range (depending upon finish chosen) new, and is well under that range used. They are 95-96db efficient and a nominal 4-ohm load so not 8-ohm but may be worth looking into. I believe your BAT gear can...

No doubt this contributes in many cases to people spending time on other forums elsewhere though each of the other options has its positives and negatives (many use antiquated forum-style thread-view user interfaces which I happen not to like pers...

Yes you can use the K-03x, K-01x or any other Esoteric device that accepts a 10Mhz master clock input sync connection with an SRS PERF10 or other 10Mhz master clock. You won't get the 44.1 or multiples of that clock frequency like the G-series clo...
