the big one: how do you choose speakers? By what features, data? In home trial is important, but it's hard to compare with other speakers. The sound in an acoustically treated store room will not be the sound in your room. I am a firm believer in controlled HF dispersion to prevent early reflections. I also bel...
Bringing Bryston 4B back to 1997 new. I sold Bryston retail for years, and they are spectacular amps and have excellent build quality. Renewing one is not a bad way to go. However for the same money you could buy a brand new Axiom Audio ADA1000 amp with 250 watts/ch and huge headroom ...
I was happy with my system for 30 years; now I need a new amp...and more? New Emerald Physics (https://www.underwoodhifi.com/products/kciii) KCIII $2499, Introductory price $1799. Worth a look.
I was happy with my system for 30 years; now I need a new amp...and more? I'd look at the Hsu CCB-8 speakers with the Hsu ULS15 MKII sealed sub. They image better than they have a right to and are very efficient, so you won't have to spend big coin on an amp. Must be heard to be believed.
Songs with excellent advice? Steely Dan, "Reelin in the years" Crosby, Stills And Nash, "The Southern Cross" Little River Band, "Another Runway" Red Rider, "Avenue A"

Bang for the buck Anthony Gallo Reference 3.5's. Don't let the small size fool you, they are giant killers, and can be had for a good price used. All stainless steel and aluminum.....gorgeous speakers!
Speaker recommendations :-) If you can wait a while the new Emerald Physics line is coming out. They are of open baffle design, so no cabinet resonance to contend with. I'm hoping they will be as efficient as the old line. The old ones image as good as any speaker I've heard...
