Audio reviews: too many analogies, never simple, but most of all, never clear.

+1 douglas_shroederToo broad a brush here--you learn who to trust and what is fluff.  Reputable reviewers like Fremer (& Dudley!!) can say what they want for as long as they want before getting down to business--i can always fast forward to co...

10 Audio Cable Myths and Facts
Ahh--sorry--misinterpreted your remarks
10 Audio Cable Myths and Facts
GK--hilarious@b_limo --OP never said there is no difference between cables--in fact he said there is and listed the factors that he thinks are important in differentiating.
10 Audio Cable Myths and Facts
Don't believe the OP ever said all cables are the same or you can't hear differences between cables.  What i read is that he believes there are certain myths that don't make an audible difference and there are certain design characteristics of cab...

No offense taken uberI'm glad you made the comments as i was bummed when i read the post saying he had retired--and thrilled that he hasn't, although he told me he's got a 10 month backlog so if your 660zx needs work you better get in line now!
Cassettes still rock!
I was thrilled to get an email from Willy this morning--i looked for the comment from someone else about him being "gone" but i couldn't find it--not sure if it was on this thread or a different one--anyway, Kevin, thanks for letting me know that ...
Cassettes still rock!
thanks for the tips on what to look for--back then i was just trying to replace mostly rock/folk albums and most of the CDs were awful (not all).  Interestingly the flood did not touch my classical music LPs--made me wonder if there was a message ...
