$1000 bookshelf speakers with "recessed", "laid back" or "flat" mid-range? I found that a lot of comments here give wrong impression how a speakers sound, no you don't recommend the speakers because you know how it sound directly, rather you know it sound like that because you have your own matching, yes generally a spea...
Wharfedale Jade 3 aluminium tweeter problem I'm afraid nothing will help, the drivers used in Jade 3 design are just untamed or at least it's difficult to product a balanced sound for music, suggest go for Wharfedale Denton 80, pretty powerful speakers.
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @gregm Judging from the 2nd hand sale posts here at Malaysia, obviously ATC is not a speakers I can play, first need very proper gear match, and it seem most do not, second the sound can be a bit revealing judging from most impressions stated, af...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music With Wharfedale Denton 80th, you kinda get the best speakers to listen that kind of music you love, yes sometimes Denton can be a bit dark I tried quite some speakers, some with really good resolution, it’s give and take, at the same time you got ...
Wharfedale Linton Heritage 85th Anniversary @schubert Human is different story to tell than speakers, I suppose. Dead speakers serve the ears, alive human serve nobody.
Wharfedale Linton Heritage 85th Anniversary Klipsch Forte III seem like a violent speakers, not sure is the typical "America" speakers sound? Feel a lot of USA made sound way too aggressive for "British" audience, I love their amps made in USA though, more violent more good :P
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @audiotroy I think all the odd figures for home consumer, i.e. ATC SCM(7,11,19), frequently I heard people said it is hard to drive ATC speakers properly, said need Class A blah blah etc. Do you think a Class D Audio SDS-470C or an NAD M22 V2 powe...
Home demo. ProAc D48R and Spendor D9 If to go for mid range magic, why not the Spendor Classic series?
Wharfedale Linton Heritage 85th Anniversary It would be great if somebody can compare the Linton to Denton 80th, which sound classic across wide spectrum and music genre, just worry the Linton sound too shrill or too lush?
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @gphill Aerial Acoustics 5T sound ok with drum music? I suspect due to the woofers cone shape, it can be hard to move for drum music, also it's ring tweeters used, not sure I can stand harshness when playing Aretha's Ain't No Way...
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @markalarsen Both are not available easily in Malaysia, I'm not sure Ryan S610 can play some less than perfect recording in a mesmerizing way? Also the Joseph Audio Pulsar is double of my budget o_O, which I think I can buy a larger Spendor Class...
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @gryphongryph The Graham is a British traditional speakers which sound forgiving for old school music too right?
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber @twoleftears Spendor Classic 100 of course would an ideal end game choice for pure music HiFi listening speakers, reality is out of my budge a lot haha, the bookshelf Classic 3/1 I would assume is big enough for me.
Decisions on standmounts: ATC, Dynaudio, ProAc, Sonus Faber I have been listened enough with the Sonus Faber Sonetto I, hmm I think the sound is neutral and flat across the spectrum, kinda lack coloration for some poorer recordings, which can be higher noise to my ears. I would plan on to attempt Spendor C...
Wharfedale Diamond 11.5 or 250 Go for Wharfedale Denton 80th, still remains the classic best bookshelf speakers for the line. |
