Guys,I tried this also and noticed a deeper and quieter background. Done the pre also but thought is was better without the sleeves. Will try on my dac when it comes in since digital appears to have alot of grunge.

Now I've heard it all... UnbelievableActually, a lot of violin/cello with good mid-bass but not the bass I associate with jazz.:)

Goose,I did try multiple experiments with toe-in and after several weeks, I found that minimal toe-in (1/8") provided the best ambiance, soundstage and coherence. You guys have been a big help and I just put my spike back on last night, finalizing...

Guys,Thanks for your help. Integration with fast speakers has always been a challenge but I'll use what I have since my choice of music has little or no bass (classical).
