KT66s in place of KT88 tubes
@jond (and any others in the know) - What sonic improvements do you think I would realize replacing KT-88s with KT-66s? I understand that this will be amp specific but even a generalization would be helpful. I am currently using KT-88s (two per ch...
Really...My favorite power tube is reissue that's not widely popular
Would the 7581A be biased the same as a 6L6GC/KT-66? I am currently running KT-88s in my DeHavilland 50A mono blocks and would like to try the 7581As. The DeHavilland is designed to accept 6L6/KT-66 tubes and a bias setting for those is specified ...
What amps are out there that are Class A, 50 wpc into 8 ohms?
I'll add another mention for Clayton Audio. I have a S100SE, very sweet sounding with a wonderful midrange.
Has anyone heard Fink Team KIM speakers?
@whipsaw - You've obviously put a lot of effort into your equipment and room set up with great attention to detail. I'm sure it has paid off and that your system and the Kims sound fantastic. The Circle Labs amp seems to be getting a lot of positi...
Has anyone heard Fink Team KIM speakers?
Thanks for your reply, @whipsaw. I sit a little over 10 feet (3M) away from the speakers and the speakers again about 3 feet (front plane) from the front wall. The room is not small, 16.5 feet wide, 31 feet long with 11 foot ceilings, but is laid...
Review: Resolution Audio Cantata Music Center CD Player
Keith -  I have a Resolution Audio Opus 21 which also uses a passive volume control implemented in the analog domain. I'm not sure if the Cantata employs a different design but assuming the two models are similar regarding that circuitry I can sa...

Has anyone heard Fink Team KIM speakers?
@whipsaw - How sensitive to room placement are the Kims? I can only position the front plane of my speakers about three feet from the front wall at most, do you feel this would present any bass overload issues? One of the reviews cited some "tubb...
Wolf Von Langa SON (TAS 2022 PofY) and Gestalt Audio - my experience & review
Geauxaudio - Every picture of the WVL Son I have seen, whether from audio shows or in a reviewer's system, shows them pulled way into the room and well away from the front wall. Do you experience any bass issues positioning the front baffles only ...
Dehavilland Super 40 Mono n
I have a pair of her 50A mono blocks and yes they do invert phase. I would assume the Super 40's do as well...
Estate sale Fuselier speakers for $370 but I know nothing about them.
3.3's!  If the woofers are in good shape you will be rewarded with good quality amplification. A used integrated amp would likely be the most cost efficient route to take...
Estate sale Fuselier speakers for $370 but I know nothing about them.
While I powered my 3.3’s with a solid state amplifier ( BEL 1001) I did hear them with an EL34 based tube amp and they sounded sublime, so you can also consider tubes. The LSA VT-70 is a new tube integrated amp which seems to be getting some great...

I bought my 3.3’s at Sound By Singer in NYC, not sure if they sold any other of John’s designs.
Estate sale Fuselier speakers for $370 but I know nothing about them.
Fuselier made several models, I'm really only familiar with the 3.0/3.3's. The outer pair are definitely either Fuselier 3.0 or 3.3's. If you have to buy both then simply listen to both pair and keep the one that you like better. Again the sonics ...

+1 on dill's "Excellent!"!!  BTW the terminals to connect the speaker cables are underneath the speaker, not exposed on the back as with most speakers. There is a hole on the back side of the base to thread the cables through and the actual termin...
