Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil Thanks Sherod I will check it out. I have never been so frustrated with audio gear. I turned off the system thinking I will not be able to stand the break in period and am getting a headache and just want to move the gear back up to my Linn speake...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil Audioism I have heard that about Dueland. I know there are way better and Sonicap is the bottom of the better caps as I understand. I did want to see if that was my problem I kind of thought it would be a slam dunk right off the bat. Sherod I have...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil Next day around 5 hours on one set of new caps. If played in stereo it sounds like two systems with a echo sound tight and held in on the new caps and loud and shouty on the old ones. My image of polycaps was not correct at all! I expected bright?...
Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? Listened to Abbey Road 4 times yesterday in shock at how much better it sounded. Crem1 what records in general get better, no doubt if crud in the groove is a problem and not groove wear. Have you found that sometimes when steamed sound opens up b...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil I am having having a hard time turning off the stereo. The difference is now HUGE! The cymbals are a thing of beauty and I do not think these speakers have ever sounded like this! To be honest it is the tweeters that have surprised the most. I nev...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil I put the new caps in the left speaker. I wanted to see if I could hear a difference from left to right channel. It almost sounds like two systems. Like they were out of time with each other? So far the right speaker is making defective sounds. AL...
Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? Cleaned a Abbey Road (Beatles) lp and it was a BIG improvement! The improvement came in voices mostly. Much easier to tell who was singing each song and back-ups. I was quite surprised. Thanks Crem1!I also cleaned a White Album with mixed results....

Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil Thanks Guys I figured there was audiophile type of solder. For this one since I am just using Sonicaps to see if the speakers can sound at least correct. Right now they sound bad. If I replace the Sonicaps I may go to even better than standard sol...

Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? I admit to getting carried away with the Prince record. I was just seeing how much I could steam. I am going to try the mild bleach. I do believe cleaning with hot water for sure works. Funny no one has done it to vinyl records before? I mean we c...
Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? Crem1 that is why I bought the other 2 price lp's mine has a slight mold but the 2 I bought are clean. They were cheap to experiement with and I can compare to a pristine copy. I know they get cleaner without a doubt! but wondered what happened to...
Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? Crem1 I did read quite a lot but not all. The one prince record which is '80's and the vinyl is thin did distort on the grooves. It still seems to sound very good though. I am interested in this process for those records that have a light mold on ...
Deep Cleaning Records With Steam? One word of caution the Prince lp is a '80's LP and looks to have distorted the Apollo is much heavier vinyl and seems to have no problem. |
