How important is spending time with your gear?
My system dominates a 16' wall of my living room. Since it incorporates a TV, I use it every day for both TV and streaming music which is on on the background continuously as my office nook is adjacent and open to the living room. Furthermore, I u...
Honest Experience on Effects of Subwoofer Please
Subwoofers have made my system come alive like never before. I recently purchased the latest iteration of KEF R3 speakers as a space saving exercise, having eschewed floor standing speakers for the first time in decades. I placed the stand mount-s...
Do you spend more time analyzing the sound of your system, worrying it could be better?
no
2nd systems- who’s got one?
I have a bedroom system but no music player, it's for TV only. Can't stand built-in TV speakers and can't be bohthered with "sound bars". I have an extra NODE lying around but I don't really care to listen in my bedroom, and if I did I would proba...
God doesn't need to know what time it is.
I like wearing a watch but no watch is worth more than a deuce to me.
American Made Audio Products
@styleman I would assume that the Swiss, German,  Spanish and Scandinavian companies do the same. Bang & Olufsen use Scanspeak drivers probably exclusively. Not a bad thing. Scanspeak is one of a handful of companies in the world specially ...

Your single most significant purchase mistake?
A Cambridge Audio EVO 150. I liked the way it sounded and I liked the understated appearance and compact form factor, but the streaming software (StreamMagic)  interface was irredeemably awful. I couldn't live with it and I was able to  persuade t...
Bluesound Node 2021 DAC - I sold my Denafrips Ares II
I had a Node 2 since 2017 and it recently bricked, and it is apparently quite an expensive repair, so Lenbrook offered me a replacement at a discount which I took them up on. I'm pleased with the sound of the new NODE. I gave it a good listen just...
To Buy or to DIY, here is my question
I built custom speaker systems for a living for 14 years (and moonlighted as a musician and live sound tech), including pro sound reinforcement, studio monitors and hi-fi speaker systems. The company that I worked for had access to raw speakers li...

Audio nonsense
@ mitch2  lol How dare thee mock The Righteous Gemstones!
How much of High End Audio is Horn Speakers?

Beautiful listening rooms
I vote for the brick room in image 2 with the Rockford speakers from image 3. Those highly irregular surfaces of rough-surfaced acoustically inert materials would make for a terrific listening environment.
