Mojo Audio Mystique EVO
I'm guessing there might be a few more EVO owners out there now.  Anyone care to provide their experience?Mine continues to impress, especially the microdetails and realism from top to bottom - but really I'm just sitting back and enjoying the mus...
DAC Choices - $5,000 to $7,000
@mitch2 A few weeks ago, I brought my EVO to a fellow Agon members home so he could hear it in his system.  He also uses a DX L3 and @grannyring 's "double-smoked" USB cable.   Th EVO sounded *excellent* in this member's system - which is very nic...
Ayre Codex vs. ESS SABRE ES9010K2M (Yamaha AS801)
Congrats on the A-S801, @soundchasr.  I've had one for a number of years in a second system, and think it is a great value.  Read the 6moons review on it if you haven't already - "The A-S801 pounds hard on that HighEnd door."  The variable loudnes...
DAC Choices - $5,000 to $7,000
@mitch2  - agree with everything you say about the importance of power sections - and Ben does a great job there.   The EVO weights 29 pounds!  Definitely trial the EVO if you can.  PM me if you live in Florida - maybe we can connect.  I'm bringin...

Mojo Audio Mystique EVO
After about a month of having the EVO, one morning I heard a significant hum out of my speakers.  I changed the position of the ground switch on the EVO and that fixed it. I couldn't tell you what the original and current position is, but I can lo...

Whats a good economical way to test the electricity on a circuit?
I looked into measuring "noise" on my AC mains, and the least expensive approach would be about $800 to purchase the necessary equipment - and I was unsure if I would be able to actually do it accurately and more importantly, safely.I would need s...
Suggestions for solid state balanced linestage with remote, $2000 or less
I'm in the same situation.  My early research has me interested in the Belles Aria Preamp - $1600.  (not balanced)
Best cheap integrated amp <$500 new
If you're set on new, and not used or refurb, at $500 or less - I'd consider the Denon PM-600NE integrated - $399.  Steve Guttenberg had positive things to say about it - and the customer reviews are almost universally positive.  Not a lot of powe...
System- so many questions
Some options you could consider near term that could help squeeze more out of your digital front end: 1- Replace the switch mode power supplies on your cable modem and Netgear router.   I recommend the Sbooster LPS ($400), but you could try less e...
