Quad L22 or Castle Cornway to replace B&W N805
As a Quad owner (21L) I just want to point out something very quickly. Is it your speaker or is it other components in your signal chain that is contributing to the brightness which seems as it may be resulting in fatigue?I've had to change cablin...

Head To Head: Creek/Arcam/Cary/Roksan... LONG
The Local Rotel dealer did (wait for it) NOT KNOW what the 1072 WAS. Yes you read that right. So no there is unfortunately no opportunity for me to audition it locally.Regarding the Arcam - it was broken in for several weeks (I was assured) by the...
Head To Head: Creek/Arcam/Cary/Roksan... LONG
Thank you :)The Cary & Creek comparison is still ongoing they are very close in each of their respective merits but both have different presentation styles which is making it difficult to determine a "winner". I hope to provide an update in th...
Best Floorstanding Speaker under $1000 USD
Quad 21L (I own) or the Epos M15 (Only other speaker in the price range I would consider).Quad is more detailed, Epos is a hair more musical. But I haven't heard them both in the same system - and I heard the Epos with MUCH better equipment than w...
Your ''best kept secret'' speaker choice ?
Quad L-Series --- too much press in Britain not any in North America. These briallantly finished beautiful very revealing speakers with a gorgeous midrange - just seem ignored. Competitive far beyond their price point - WAF is very very high :) An...

The NAD T742 isn't actually that bad for two channel - its comparable to NAD's integrateds in that regard. I own a NAD C350 and the dealer I bought it from was a B&W/Wharfdale dealer - and a lot of people were quite happy with NAD amplificatio...

That's awesome - you've already gone with the Sunfire's but just wanted to mention that some Quad L-series owners have gone with the new Velodyne DD series and seem to be enjoying it as well.I'm saving up to get the L Centre for my 21Ls :) ahh the...
Best Low Budget Speakers
Whoa not sure what happened to my post there anyways - EPOS ELS-3 must be heard to be believed - the Stereophile review is quite correct (amazingly) and they are goregous speakers.I had the pleasure of listening to them in a modest setup and they ...

Epos els 3 vs Triangle Titus $300 range new/used..
Just wanted to comment on the Epos. I myself own Quad 21Ls and had the chance to listen to the entire Quad line - all of which are wonderful. Recently I had the pleasure of hearing the Epos. Will I be considered a heretic for agreeing with the Ster...
Paradigm Speaker Question:
I just want to chime in my agreement with Vm8444 here - having auditioned the Paradigms and B&Ws in that pricepoint - I ended up with the Quad 21Ls (Floorstanders)and auditioned the whole Quad line. They are simply better speakers in terms of ...
Speakers to compare to Paradigm Studio 100 V.3
Quad 21L or 22L both will easily better the Paradigm in imaging, clarity, neutrality, detail, and has one of the sexiest midranges around. Both dig deep, the 22L deeper.
