Help ! Best MC cartridge for Linn LP12? Well, the Kandid would be the logical choice . You did not mention which phono pre you are using? If you already have the Radikal, the Urika would provide you with a fully integrated SE deck. The synergy with the Urika and the Kandid allows them t...

Thinking about buying an Lp12, Lingo table. If you have access to someone who knows how to properly set up an LP12 then I would go for it. An LP12 that is properly set up will not go out of tune- the DIY'ers have mucked this fact up over the years. As time goes on you can upgrade the deck in...
Avid Diva II SP or keep my Linn Get a Tiger Paw Vulkan shelf- designed for the LP12 and the best one out there at an affordable price. LP12's really do well on a shelf imo.ATB,Mark
Linn Krystal cartridge Yes, Dynavectors do well on the LP12. As far as the Krystal- very well received in the UK and EU. Click on the Linn Forum to get a taste of what other's think- very positive. Unfortunately, the LP12 is a bit of a bastard child here in the States b...

Whest Audio MC REF V MK4. My new toy. I've had the Titan Pro for about a year now. Original audition was with the 30RDT ( not SE ) vs the Aurorasound Vida- the Whest won by a smidge due to better micro dynamics and rhythm/ musical flow . Very neutral phono stages that just get on with...

Aurorasound Vida LCR Phono Looking at your system, I think the Vida is just what you are after,,,smooth, rich sound. It makes perfect sense in your system. Do check the classifieds- these come up regularly at a significant discount. Good luck!ATB,Mark
Aurorasound Vida LCR Phono Herve- I did purchase the Vida and ran it for about 6 months before moving it on. It was paired with a top spec LP12/Aro/DV XVs-1. Overall a very nice phono stage but in the end was bit too "vanilla" for my taste. A Whest Titan Pro has replaced it...
2017 may be the year for a new cartridge for my LP12 If Kandid is a stretch, the Krystal is available from Linn and will slot right into your current deck nicely. I personally favor the Dynavector's and the XX2 is hard to beat at that price point!ATB,Mark
ROI. Where is money better spent? Better source..then preamp, imho.

Upgraditis At $300, the Lounge is a steal..I purchased one for my son ( LP12/Naim Nait2, Linn Kans ) and we were very happy with it. Ended up buying another one as a gift for my nephew ( Rega RP3, Rega Brio,Wharfdale bookshelf ) - he loves it as well. This i...
Upgraditis Try a Lounge Audio phono stage, Might give you what you are missing for relatively small $$ after you sell the Cambridge..ATB,Mark |
