How to integrate phase of a subwoofer with mains?
You probably dont want to hear this...but the tool I use is my ears. Most of the time in my experiences, there is no difference. Acoustically speaking. Technically, there are measured differences in reinforment of lower response vs cancellation. E...
Two tube amps for your consideration please
Oldtexasdog, I would go for the Jolida. You will be happy, trust me on this. Not only do they have good support, but they have very worthy products from a price vs. performance stance...and quality/looks perspective.
CD Stoplight pen vs Sharpie Green Marker
finger nail polish. Find a way to spin the cd, then gently touch with brush. Art supply stores have paint markers. These 2 ways are better than sharpie markers. Markers still allow light through.
Acoustic treatment for corners.
I admire your electrical handywork Zargon. It has given me some ideas for my own implications.
Next Analog Steps: VPI Scout Users
You dont have limitations in cartridges for that table. It can handle even the best cartridges. Money is another issue altogether. My friend uses a ZYX bloom and it sounds amazing on that TT. Quite inexpensive for what you get really. For complian...
Floorstander or bookshelf?
Have you treated your room for reflections? Do that first before you do anything else. The RS6's are very good speakers for the cost. Sounds like you just want a better bass response. Overall, this will make a bigger impact than anything else for ...

Class C is powered by the mind. They only have those systems in institutionalizations. Is that a word btw??
Help. Wife says Teres 340 Is too bright.

placement of power conditioner
If you think your surrounding equipment has adequate shielding, then go for it.
Acoustic treatment for corners.
Corners are notorious for bass reflections. Treat these areas and your bass response will improve.
Building Second System...which cables in my budget
Raul, email me and I will put you in touch with someone who will design a set of cables for your system without any obligations. I guarantee you that they will blow anything you have ever heard out of the water. Dont dare try them in your main sys...
Help. Wife says Teres 340 Is too bright.
The Illustrious most likely has the same cotton coated copper wire like the previous version. The origin wire is THE BEST in the business. Dont even go there. Now, I have experimented PLENTY with my MARKII. Did you know you could adjust certain pa...
A/B and D class Amps What's the Difference
Class A is in a bias mode of ALWAYS on...therefore, it is constantly at its MAX potential. The cleanest signal, the highest energy usage. The most heat generated. Class A/B fluctuates between Class A (at lower voltages) and switches into Class B a...
OK to leave power on?
yup. as long as its not class A. standby for tubed equip. keeps a small current continuously going so when full ON is engaged it ready to go much faster than full warmup.
Toe-in or NOT toe-in ??
My feelings are that it is very easy to see which way sounds better. Try it and which ever way sounds the best...that's the way to leave it.
