Happy Thanksgiving  True, first I check to see if the cartridge is level then I use the straight arm because you have a longer parallel line for better accuracy . Now in about an hour I'll be ready for pumpkin and pecan pie .

Thanks for your responses  My cartridge is a Soundsmith Carmen mkII the TT is a Merrill Heirloom and the tonearm is the Classic Six that does not have the micrometer . When using an Azimuth gauge/block to check the tonearm and cartridge parallel...
For Vandersteen owners & lovers: Which other brands do you like?
If your willing to purchase used then look at/for Thiel CS3.7s . They like Vandersteens are coherent in their design .

Beautiful veneer on your speakers , nice room !

thieliste The CS3.7 posts look like the 2.7's , if so you will have to drill a round hole since the Thiel posts are rectangle ( I discovered that this is a great idea , one can make a very tight connection ) .  You have to start with a small dril...

Thank You jafant I agree with you about having multiple copies of the Beatles , but I had never sat down and compared them back to back and over and over again like I did with Revolver .  I remember when I bought the re-mastered version of Sgt. P...

Happy Standard Time All tom  When I started upgrading the speakers I ran single wires from the 3 speakers , with the coaxial mid/tweeter wires + running together and the - running together separated thru the original holes in the coaxial chamber...
