Aktchi, Again my above comments are from my simple experiance, but not absolute of course.. And by the way the cabinets are very good, finish is of car quality, now why only paint, well I think they are leaning toward a more industrial use for a l...
Compare: Salk Sound, Silverline, Tyler, Zu
Actually I said nothing about the Zu being superior to anything just for clarification, but they sound far less constrained vs. what I have heard and the real point of my post was simply it is impossible to really get a grasp or opinion unless you...
I'm confuse Do i need a dac for my cd player ?
Tickfight, No if your CD player is a Wadia or a Pioneer or a teac, using the same mechanism(transport) then you would be suprised how similar used as just your CD reader(transport) they can be... I have tested this, When you purchase some of the h...

Macrojack, I think Zu's are almost too transparent sounding for some people and are use to crossover correction cause most rooms sound horrible, but the zu's in the correct acoustic environment just like any speaker in a good environment acoustica...
Small form factor, budget DACs?
I have to ask? Where are you guys finding the DAC + or whatever for 220.00? I ordered these Dac's for me and 2 friends of mine just about 1 month ago, and emailed PacificValve.us directly and actually asked them about what they think audiomirror a...
Small form factor, budget DACs?
As a matter of fact on the power cord, We had 2 of the DAC-AH's stock and set up parallel into one preamp, one on the auxilary input, one on the CD input, A-B testing on the fly at the touch of a button all the same cables and transport, and trust...
any compatibility opinions on Nuforce amps with No
I have owned Nordost Interconnects and speaker cables, the Speaker cable side of it should be fine, but ALWAYS the interconnects picked up lots of noise ran by the components, and from what I have been hearing about isolation and RF problems in th...
Small form factor, budget DACs?
Hudsonhawk, Killer DAC, the huge difference I found with anything on it was a good 10 or 12 Gauge teflon/silver tinned power cable, Completly makes the bass and mid solid and far deeper sounding, vs. a little 2 dimensional and overly analog flat w...
Anyone heard or own Klipsch RF7 ?
They are a lot of speaker if found around 1300.00 or so a pair, I had them for my 30 day trial and ultimatly they were very imbalanced in the horn overtaking any low frequencys, so yes were slightly brittle, or forward, or bright whatever audio no...
Beeping sound coming out of left speaker?
Yeah certain cell phones near my computer speakers do this, very weird in a system though, but its got to do with your cell phone updating all the time with some info or testing from the tower....I am just wondering what its entering only the left...
I know this is heresy, but...
We all wish our multi thousand dollar equipment and speakers were tone coherant directly with all recordings, but in general this is nothing more than a fantasy, and honestly the only way I have found fairly consistent and liveable with almost no ...
Maple platforms
3" solid maple butcher blocks cut to 18" X 20" are amazingly good under a table, I use one, its routed with rounded corners with a clear coat of some type.. using my table directly on it with the stock Spikes sticking into the block proves to be t...
mono vs biamping
Unless you are using ACTIVE crossover for the bottom end vs. passive components in the speaker than I would guess this could be slightly true, only because if you Verticle(or standard) Biamp one power supply this will split it equal between the 2 ...
Half size Transports? CAL, THETA,Who else makes?
I will be more specific, Looking for a small width Transport.. not to big across. That could sit on a standard shelf with a half wide DAC kinda deal. thanks

Jependleton, yes I did go to music direct before the suggestion and they get them from Sumiko, but not in stock.. Its on order, I will just do it right.. Thing is the Arm should be fine its just that the tables normally come with super light carts...
