Amplifier circuitry-4 ohm vs 8 ohm
Rogue Audio has told me in the past to try either 4 or 8 ohm and use whichever sounds best.
Has anybody heard the Whammerdyne Circuit Salad recently?
@boxand1  Thanks!  I'm still very tempted to give one a try and echo certainly has a great deal on them.
Picture worth a penny LOL!!!!
I left a hifi Facebook group because some guy kept posting vids of his feet “toe tapping” while in front of his system. So cringe and so gross.
Taylor Swift Concert Prices
I like Taylor Swift, some of her music is really good and well recorded.  Just because she's popular doesn't mean she isn't talented.
KT120 replacement options in a Cronus Magnum II
@decooney  The CM II or CM III are not low current amps. They come with KT120s but can run KT88s per Rogue.
Chord Cutest or Wadia 321
I have a Qutest so I say Qutest.  Detail is great, solid amounts of low end and mids are fantastic.
Building a synergistic system. What to buy?
You could always try something like an Omega speaker with a First Watt SIT3 or F7.  If you're smart with the buying process, you could get these and likely a preamp for less than 5k.
Why Are There So Many Used Rogue ST-100's Being Offered For Sale?
I noticed this as well and if the ST100 sounds anything like my Cronus Magnum III then it's going to be an incredible piece.  I'd like to try one to compare.
KT120 replacement options in a Cronus Magnum II
I swapped the KT120 tubes in my CMIII with Gold Lion KT88s and I really like the sound.  Seems "fuller" to me.
Anybody try the new Heaven 11 Billie Mk 2?
@graphicguy Sorry about your troubles with the Billie folks.  After they attempted a repair, did they say if the "hum" was still present?  Have you tried the amp at a friend's house or maybe a local HIFI store to eliminate your house as a variable...
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls?
I fixed it.  The left channel output ground wire had fallen out of its terminal block.  It's quiet now.  :)
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls?
@daveyf I'm going to not mention the manufacturer right now until I get a chance to speak with them about it.  I don't want to cause any issues for them in case the issue is really mine and not theirs. I did try the cheater plug to remove the gro...
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls?
So I tried a few more things but I'm still getting the buzz/hum.  When I touch the ground stud on the back of the preamp (for the phono stage), it goes silent.  Maybe I can run an external ground wire?
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls?
@audio-union  I just checked my outlet ground with my checker and it doesn't show any ground faults with the wiring.    @imhififan  I did a continuity check with my Fluke and it does beep when touching the center ground pin of the power cord an...
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls?
@audio-union Good idea, I can check with my little plug checker. That outlet may have an issue.
