So I heard some B&W Signature 805s today...
Maybe they need some more break-in time. I find one of the best attributes of the Nat. 805's to be their midrange. I do agree with the "metallic" sound of their tweeters...I hear in in all their models. I guess it is the "B&W" sound. My friend...
Best overall Speakers for $2,500.00 or less, New?
"Troutki ...did I say you can't get a decent speaker under $2500.00...I don't think so."Did I say that the Vandys were perfect...I don't think so?:-)
Norah Jones on Bluenote??
"Who sais she's a singer? What a silly statement. Snobbery at its best. Norah is not my favorite female vocalist by far, (gimmie Eva Cassidy any day) but to question her singing ability is....just silly. Blanket statements like that make any other ...
Best overall Speakers for $2,500.00 or less, New?
I second the Vandersteen 2ce Sigs 100%. Those that say they can't find a decent speaker under $2500 new, hasn't heard these.
PS Audio cables, Anyone heard them?
When I purchased a pair of rca IC's, I did a head-to-head comparo with Harmonic Tech Pro Silways. I prefered the PS Audios. I am sure there are better, but they mated well with my system.
under $300 bookshelfs: does excitement exist?
I have lived with the B&W 303's for a long time now. At one time I actually owned three pair of them. (now down to 2) I bought them when my wife and I were in an apartment while waiting for our home to be built. At this time, I had heard my fr...
ipod and dac?
Well said Johnmcelfresh. However, I think we are underrating the iPod as a critical playback source. I have heard much worse. I have it feeding into my system via the Monster cable (which is the best available for the iPod) and it is pretty close t...
ipod and dac?
I do not like the Apple supplied earphones. They sound okay...but do not rest comfortably in my ear. They might work for you though. For me, after a solid hour of listening, my ear hurts from the way they rest.
ipod and dac?
I use an iPod with my collection and have been very happy with its performance. For critical listening sessions, I go vinyl only, so I primarily use the iPod when I have get-togethers or want background ambience.Emster, I too have wondered about t...
opinion on electronics for Vandy 2Ce Sig
I have auditioned the Vandersteen 2ce sig several times with Rouge equipment and was blown away. The imaging and staging was out of this world. In fact, I pretty much use that experience as a bench mark of where I want to move to when I do drop th...
Rogue 120
I know that from the Magnum version of the amp, it is supposedly around $1400. Probably less than doing it from the standard version. But this is still an amazing value.
Rogue Magnum 99 question
I wish I could help you more, but I loved the sound of the Magnum 99 out of the box. However, this may be due to this being my first piece of tube gear and the fact that it was such a gigantic step up from my Pioneer A/V reciever based system. I h...
If you were to carry a tube product line?
I agree with Richard 100% Rogue sells a great product and they have great customer service. Rogue amps could easily be sold and marketed for double the price if they were so inclined. However, they do little advertising and get little pub.
New Model Rogue Mono's
Not bad when you consider the M-120s are $3500 a pair...
Are monoblocks the way to go?
The Rogue gear is nice too.
