Phil Hartmann also did album covers for America. I saw him on a talk show one time speaking about doing the cover to "America's Greatest Hits". I pulled out the CD and sure as H**L there is his name! One of my favorite covers was always The Moody B...

Pre/Pro with 2 MCH analog inputs plus..
KR4,Sorry, I didn't catch the qualification of needing a processor:-) I would love to find exactly what you are looking for! If you find it, let me know. I have been wishing for that type of flexibility for about 3 years. I ended up with the Audio...
The Best Live album
Rush and Pink Floyd. Rush is always good live but their latest (Live in Rio) is the best yet. Song selection and recording is top notch. I have to give the nod to Pink Floyd's "Delicate Sound of Thunder" as one of their best live performances capt...
Pre/Pro with 2 MCH analog inputs plus..
You may want to look at the Sony TAP-9000es - all analogue and 2 sets of 5.1 inputs. Audio Refinement has one (Pre-5) that is analogue and I *think* has 2 sets of inputs. Both of the above mentioned should be found for
2-channel pre-amp and dedicated processor?
Hmmmm... You have a similar set-up to one I had several years ago with the exception that I had pre-outs and main-ins on my preamp. With your current preamp you have no pass through which pretty much means you have to put the procesor in the loop ...
2-channel pre-amp and dedicated processor?
What type of HT processor are you looking for? i.e., DD,DTS,Pro-logic - some, all, etc.. The suggestions above may work (most will) but it will be dependent on the processor you go with, which is dependent upon what you want in a processor. I had ...
Toslink to SPDIF RCA digital converter
The CHEAPEST way to go without sacrificing quality was a device made by Audio Alchemy called a Data Stream Transciever Cable. It was/is a powered cable (uses a wall wart) and had a toslink and coax input on one side and a coax on the other. Its ma...
Best multichannel SACDs?

How is the new Elton John SACD/hyrbrid ?
Not to be the voice of dissent here BUT it is not as good as I was hoping it would be. I'm not a big fan of the surround mix and ended up liking the stereo setting better. I find it marginally better than the (circa) 1997 remaster which was better...
New Sony NS999ES is in.
Being the owner of a 999ES, which I bought last Christmas ('02), I can confirm it does take a few hundred hours to sound its best - AND there are separate run-in periods for both the redbook and the SACD! The SACD will really open up after about 4...
Your Favorite, Most Outstanding Guitar Solo
Divid Gilmour on "Comfortably Numb". I can never turn it up loud enough!
What will you be playing to celebrate?
Mghcanuck,You are correct in what you say. And I agree, the goal of the UN is a noble one and one cannot give up that goal. Dialogue between nations usually helps to diffuse bad situations before they begin and on that level the UN works well. Hop...
What will you be playing to celebrate?
Mghcanuck, Old Jesse Helms was very frustrated with the endless bickering and inaction that is the United Nations. He also was shocked with the amount graft and budget overruns at the UN. He therefore threatened to withhold funding (which, btw we ...
