New discrete R2R Multibit 2 box from CEC
George do you know what “Delta Sigma” dac chips they used in their previous flagship dac models?
Class D = Trash?
It's an interesting statement you posted George, and that’s from a large company that promotes/distributes Class-D amplification.Kind of gels with what I hear with Class-D. I must admit I’m still waiting for it to come of age, 'till then I’ll also...
Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
Those batteries are cheap, there are so many different ones to choose from, which would you recommend?I’ll get one of these as well, as they say one of the purest form of power, is battery power. And over two week of listening between charges, is n...
Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
Thanks for the link to the TeraDak, it’s cheap for what you get, I ordered one and will let you and others know what it’s like compared to the standard linear wall wart. Also how well do you think a battery 12v supply will go in comparison against...
Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
Nice “long” review Richard, and I wholeheartedly agree with all you said.I’ve had my Lightspeed going on ten years now, and even with many system changes can’t find any preamp, active or passive, that betters it.And George, I wonder if there’s bee...
Tube Amp for Martin Logan Speakers
Atmasphere. I have indeed used the Zero's on many occasions, as I mentioned in my post. So my opinion IS based on experience, not on any wish to derail this thread, as you insinuate. My experience with them was as I indicated - yes, they allow amp...
Tube Amp for Martin Logan Speakers
I have been following this thread and feel it’s time to post, seeing you have now called George a troll for the second time. George has nothing to gain from these posts, as he does not build amps or speakers, AS YOU DO! He has presented nothing bu...

Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
Georgelofi "So now you'll only find them in car stereos and midfi home equiptment"And certain speaker manufacturers (who shall obviously remain nameless here), that like to boost those frequencies for the "startle factor" in demos .... seems to wo...
Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
This is the part I like ..."2. The recording and the information embedded in the medium - digital or analog. This is the limit of the musical information that can possibly make its way through our gear to our speakers to our ears. This contains al...
Lightspeed Attenuator - Best Preamp Ever?
Here's my 2c worth, after noticing this thread had recently come back to life. Most good quality high end cdp's are close to each other in sound quality and don't colour the sound much at all. Except for some tube output ones - they can be all over...
JBL 1400 Array's
Replaced a pair of JBL 4350's in my room - and that takes some doing ! Running with a Krell KSA150 and very pleased with the results. They do all but the lowest octave better than the 4350.A very, very good speaker IMHO.
