Thick outer vinyl sleeves I recently read on another forum that the size issue has been rectified.
Which would you choose? Primaluna Int vs Separate By all means pick the one you like best. I cannot comment on the PL. If they are indeed that close I would prefer to have the one made in the USA vs China and has easy and repeatable resale. Just my opinion. Good Luck!
Direct lines and adding a power conditioner Take some time to read up on Shunyata's line of power distribution products. I spoke to Grant Samuelson of Shunyata earlier this evening at a dealer showroom and came away quite impressed at their philosophy and design engineering.I have three ded...
opinions on this new product Isn't the dirt and germs the reason no one wants to steal/use your phone? Generally, I'm comfortable with my own germs.LOL$200-250 is too cheap for an audiophile device:>)
Which would you choose? Primaluna Int vs Separate Personally, I would lean toward the MA6300. I have heard it paired with B&W in the past and have been quite pleased. They seem to have a synergy that appeals to me. It presents a versatile combination that that will sound great with vinyl and ...
Marantz SA-14S1 or Vinvent CD-S7-DAC Is the ability to play SACD's important to you, or are you just interested in redbook audio quality. Remember, these are all opinions and your opinion is the most important. We all have our own preferences;>)
No new innovations in "Audio" at upcoming CES2014? Not necessarily "New" but will be marketed as such: Blu-Ray Audio, Wireless audio delivery and speaker systems, Hi-Rez (without any clear consensus on what that "really" means). Network players of varying pedigrees.
PC recomendation for cd ripping Should not make a difference. I suggest you select 0% compression for FLAC or rip as a .WAV file instead. I use Db Poweramp for ripping.
Rotel RSX-1067-Yamaha RX-V3000 or DSP-A1 As usual, listen with your ears and select the one you like best. No one on this forum can answer for you, they do not have your room or tastes. Really.
starting from scratch ...new system Naim, MF, Wyred, Rogue and Parasound all make wonderful integrated's that will work well in your price range. Easy to set up and flexible with a wide variety of phono pre's.I am partial to Naim Nait 5i-2 if you have the KEF LS50s. Two great Britis...
How would you feel I would be very upset as well.Looks like you be passing this one down to your grandchildren. I hope you are still able to enjoy/appreciate it in your system. It reviewed well.
Focal Diablo / Utopia III breakin really long? Glad to know you have the experience. As a general rule when buying new I like to make a deal on the demo equipment at the dealer. This ensures that you do not overpay and the unit in question will have several hundred hours on it before you get it...
Focal Diablo / Utopia III breakin really long? Have not owned them but have a local dealer with whom I have listened with many times. The beryllium tweeter and stiff woofers take some time to relax and settle in.I recommend that you put on a CD on "repeat" with great dynamics (Steeley Dan "Aja...
Integrated Recommendation I like the hybrid route. I can see you being very happy with the Unison Research Unico SE 140wpc. Tube input with solid state output. Mighty sweet!
studio/nearfield/bookshelve monitor or speaker With 80 watts of the Creek integrated I think you would be quite impressed with the KEF Anniversary LS50's. |
