Audio Engineering Society and cables
No interest on this for me whatsoever. This was not posted for me. Or for you. But you know who. I only need my ears for this stuff
Shunyata Research alpha hc vs Shunyata Research original black mamba
Hi @ghosthouse You may be correct on this. My power distributor is also Shunyata (Everest), so for me XC makes sense. The reasoning is that whatever benefit the NR technology provides (noise reduction), is already in the Shunyata power distributor...

Shunyata Research alpha hc vs Shunyata Research original black mamba
The current version of Alpha for power distributors and such is the Alpha v2 XC
Apple Music
Update: connected my iPhone 12 via lightning to USB adapter to the USB port on my DAC (Esoteric N-01XD). First impressions on Apple Music: …. Crap! It sounds bad. Very flat, no dynamics, muted, squashed dynamics. Something is wrong.I am comparing ...
Apple Music
Oh… I have Qobuz. And Tidal. And Roon. I was just trying to try Apple Music. I am in wife’s family plan, along with our sons. So this is “free” for me
In term of construction, what's the difference between cheap vs. expensive power cables
+1 to @pauly  !!Not all silver cables are created equal. Silver = Bright is a very common misconception. I also find pure Silver (such as 6N) to be not bright at all, full bodied, with full resolution as added bonus compared to pure copper.

Likely a kid writing from mom's basement. Anyone with a "Google Machine" can appear to be know-it-all. Does not even need to own any audio system of course. And.... "more better"..... LOL!!!
Better to buy a high end network player with a DAC?
I'd like to think of it the other way around: a DAC with a built in network player. Emphasis is on the "DAC" part. However, as they say, there are a million ways to skin a cat
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again...
Either high, or just a kid with a computer in mom's basement

You realize you are dealing with a kid writing from his mom’s basement armed with a Google Machine, right @nonoise ?

@edgewound: Isn’t it time for your Roblox now? Please go back to your mom’s basement. 😉😬

It is clear by now our “friend” Edgewood’s post here is not about the directionality of the cables. It’s about cables in general. That “snake oil”. Question for you: what is your audio system? Can you post it under “systems” here? Thanks

LOL!! I literally laughed when I read this. 😂😂edgewound OP258 posts05-27-2021 5:55pmI have friend that’s a PhD in physics.
