Innuos - New Re-Clocker So you are trying to save my money and soul? What exactly are you trying to accomplish on this thread? If you believe that "any decent modern DAC" will remove the noise, then that's fine, stick to your DAC, and don't worry about the source.
Innuos - New Re-Clocker @djones51: read Nuno's reply on #3:----- Do not confuse this with the clocking for the audio signal, we are not touching the audio signal at all. We are reclocking the USB commnunication between the source and the DAC......the PhoenixUSB does not...
Innuos - New Re-Clocker So I went ahead and asked the question originally posted by @dpac996 then others, in terms of reclocking and a asynchronous USB DAC, directly to Innuos. This is the reply I received from Nuno copy/paste:---------------- The PhoenixUSB does mainl...
Innuos - New Re-Clocker @dpac996 —— If InnuOs released a variant with this reclocker circuit board stuffed inside it would be a class leader; They could still sell the standalone but for Pete’s sake they should stick it in the next Zen series and save us audiofools anoth...
Audioquest Firebird Zero I will definitely buy the Interconnects designed by Garth. Whenever they come out. I will wait patiently
Do I really need a separate Roon Core (computer) to use Roon Software? Of course you can select sample rates on Roon. It has extensive and advanced DSP options. Including to DSD. If you were talking about finding stuff with different sample rates in your library, that’s possible via the Focus feature
Do I really need a separate Roon Core (computer) to use Roon Software? You need some type of computer with RAM and CPU to run Roon Core. Can be a general purpose computer PC MaC, laptop, a NUC, a high powered NAS, etc. What you are perhaps asking is whether a streamer can act as a Core too, right? The answer is yes, b...
Higher End DACs Hi @ufguy73 (OP): if you are serious on MSB, email Vince Galbo (Vince @ MSBtechnology.com). They have a traveling Demo fleet that you can try at home with no dealer involvement. If you are happy though, you have to purchase through dealersI have a...
Higher End DACs A MSB Discrete with dual discrete power supplies and the ProISL USB module (MSRP ~ $13,500 as configured) would be a fairer comparison to dCS Bartok. The Premier, especially with power base and upgraded clock, will be in a totally different league
Are Bowers and Wilkins speakers overpriced? I have owned 8 pairs of speakers over the past 15-17 years. I have also heard over a hundred of speakers at dealers, friends’, and audio shows. Currently own 803 D3 and could not be happier with them. I kept going back the 800 series Diamonds, unt...
Higher End DACs Please let’s not turn this thread in a MQA debate. The MQA proponents and detractors are strongly entrenched in their own respective bunkers, and such debates can only lead to flame wars
Higher End DACs I totally agree with @lalitk here. On the McIntosh that is. I was just very hesitant of bringing this up, for fear of sounding snobby. I have the B&W 803 D3 speakers by the way
Innuos - New Re-Clocker You never answered my previous question @audiotroy . Let me try again: has any of YOUR customers received the PhoenixUSB? Be honest please
Innuos - New Re-Clocker pipedream32 posts02-14-2020 2:55pmWe are NYC dealers for Innuos. Hopefully we will be getting our Phoenix order shortly. Just so popular everyone wants one. LOL! That's what all dealers have been saying since last October
Higher End DACs From my experience, USAM is worthless for high priced gear. Only cheaper stuff, say $2K or less. Mostly attracts lower budget folks. The big advantage is that it’s free to the seller. IMO, Audiogon is the best place to sell high end gear. Hands do... |
