Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
A quick update: I still haven't heard the Perspectives but am told it will be this week. In the interim, I am curious about what speaker cables have you used with the Perspectives?  The dealer is pushing hard on Stage III for both speakers and up...
If there was only ONE album/cd/release you can listen to, over and over.............
My UHQR copy of "Kind of Blue" for jazz.  "Dire Straits" (their debut album)
Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
This is extremely helpful. Many thanks.
Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
Agree on all counts regarding Jeff and his holistic approach to design and execution. While I definitely appreciate craft (e.g. Dr. Bews from LFD hand-wrapping components), in the end I am evaluating the sound. Jeff spent an hour with me talking o...
Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Perspectives. In looking at your system, I noticed that you are running subs in addition to the JAs. I do not have (or plan to get) subs, so that may be a factor in how the Perspectives fit the bill for ...
Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
@prof -- thanks for the note on this. Jeff had said that they were able to be played in a number of different configurations. I know that they are much larger than the Perspectives, but did they seem over the top in person?
Joseph Audio: Perspectives and Pearls
@rsf507 -- I had a long conversation with Jeff earlier this week and he felt that either would work in my space. I was hoping that someone had listened to both and/or upgraded to the Pearls and could share their experiences.
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
@prof -- thanks for the reply!  Your original research thread and your decision actually came up on my call with Jeff and he mentioned that you were going for the upgrade. Small world indeed.
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
Quick update from my search: I spent an hour on the phone with Jeff Joseph and my local dealer talking about both the Perspectives and the Pearls. I had previously shared details on my other gear and the type of music I favor. We actually spent a ...
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
At the risk of taking this discussion even further off topic, I am fairly sure that there are 3 of us from Massachusetts and are all referring to the same JA dealer. After a bit of digging, I actually received an email from Jeff Joseph himself ref...
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
@disc — I actually began my research by reading that thread and agree it is extremely helpful.    @gdnrbob — Thanks for the reference - I may do a local New England roadtrip first but will definitely consider checking them out.    I remain inter...
Who's using Harbeth with tubes, what speaker model and how many watts per channel?
I am playing my Harbeth 30.2 XDs through an ARC 160S. No issues at all although the sound really opened up compared to the solid state LFD I was using previousl.
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
This discussion is very timely as I am also exploring many of these same speaker. I currently have Harbeth 30.2 XDS, which I really enjoy, but I remain curious as to what the next step up might be. I too am drawn to the new Joseph Audio Perspectiv...
Are Harbeth the only warm and euphonic speakers in town ?
While I have Harbeth 30.2 XDs, I have to agree with the earlier posts that so much of the sound depends on the other elements of your system. When I upgraded to my Koetsu, the experience changed. Same thing happened when I changed my phono stage a...
Solid state to tube
I just made the jump after years with solid state. I bought an ARC 3SE phono stage and immediately noticed the difference and the synergy with my turntable and the type of music I primarily play (1950s and 60s jazz.) Based on this experience, I a...
