JM Lab Diva Be well I had really hoped that the Diva would be provide a large slice of Alto Be at it's lower price. But, today I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with the Diva for the first time and then quickly compared to the Alto which I have listened...
JM Lab Diva Be The trouble is that I have already auditioned the Alto, so it may be very difficult to listen to the DIva. Yet, the Diva is really more in my budget. Therefore, it is promising to hear all of your positivity. Is anyone aware of any english language...
how 'bout Wilson Sophias with Simaudio P-5/W-5 ?? Jazz dude,Which tube preamp are you using with the W-5 ?? What speakers ?
how 'bout Wilson Sophias with Simaudio P-5/W-5 ?? OK no response yet.Let's try this question. I really want to avoid tubes if possible. What solid state amp/preamp would you recommend for Sophia. I will be playing primarily alternative rock/rock on CD's. I want as musical, nonfatiguing system as ...
What are best speakers for low powered tube amps? Do check out the Verity Audio Tamino and Fidelio. I believe both would be within your budget. I heard the Fidelio sing with Nagra 50W tube monoblocks. As well, the Tamino was easily driven by a relatively expensive low power Arcam SS amp.
Revel Studio Discussion- Everything Studio Here While I await my own chance to audition the Studios, many reviews (editorial vs. personal internet-based) seem to frequently address the bright tweeter, need for turning down tweeter setting, and the over revealing nature of the speaker. I don't k...
Revel Studio Discussion- Everything Studio Here The Revel Studio is on my short list of speakers that I want to audition to decide what to pair a SImaudio P-5/W-5/Nova with. I hope to listen to Dynaudio Confidence C2, Contour S5.4, Wilson Audio Sophia, JMlab Alto Be, Diva Be, VR 4jr, and Verity...
Integrated Amp and Speakers for a teenager? Although perhaps a little above your budget, I recently purchased a "second" system consisting of the Cambridge Audio Azur 640A integrated amp, 640C CD player, and Focal JMlab 706S bookshelf speakers plus stands. I am very impressed at this system...
Decision Time: revel F32's or JMLabs Electra 926 What's the problem, sounds like you made up your own mind as you obviously prefer the Revels. Sometimes I think it is dangerous to audition too many speakers. Like you, I was set to go with the 936's ... then I heard the JMlab Alto Be's ... Now I ...
Full sounding Bookshelf speakers music only I would still go with stands for the bookshelf speaker, rather than just putting them on the bookshelf.
Full sounding Bookshelf speakers music only Sorry, that is $1000 for the whole system, the speakers should be under $400 US
Full sounding Bookshelf speakers music only If you can live without alot of bass, the JMlab Chorus 706S is a reasonably priced small bookshelf. I got mine to go with the new Cambridge Audio Azur 640C/640A (CD player/integ. amp). For about $1000, this is a very musical small second system fo...
jmlabs DIVA I have the exact same question ... unfortunately I don't have the answer... perhaps like you I love the Alto, but I am not sure I can justify 17K for the speaker. On the other hand I could more easily accept the cost of the Diva, but I am not sure...
JMlab Utopia Alto vs Wilson Sophia vs Revel Studio Perhaps, the fact that it was a short listening period is key. The beauty of the Alto, which I feel is extremely musical, is that it doesn't bring attention to any one element ... just the music. So maybe the fact that the bass didn't hit you in t... |
