Talk but not walk?
Back in the day early 1980's a friend of mine had a statement speaker that used Ed LongsĀ  patented TA time aligned technology. A short time later the predecessor to the Bag End subs that operated below their resonance were devised.. The 2 10's spe...

Try painting the air molecules well pieces and parts that air molecules travels across. Tom

Speakers cones generate shear and polarities of shear before they generate a pressure wave. Thats how speakers work. Polarities of shear on a cone for example travel on all surfaces of the material shape..they also travel thru that material shape....

Not upset. Gotta catch a plane home..later..but until that time keep looking and hunting. Shear is all around..just not understood by many. Tom

Geoff,Sorry you cannot learn or understand anymore as you are truly isolated in thought.Your brain has about the same shear velocity and density as lead. NASA must have been happy to eject you because your days of grandeur are more like delusions....

Don't need to know the science of sound to make an over damped bad sounding road trip. Tom

And yet material and geometry define shear velocity and polarity hence how and why impacted or vibrating solids modulate the air. Tom
Talk but not walk?
Shear only travels in solids. Tom

Fellows you should study up on shear waves and their various velocities and polarities thru and on all solid materials in your listening room including solids in motion. Compressive becomes shear...on impact..or on solids in motion.Tom

There are a couple of reasons for the tubes and one especially for a tin hat. You will have a change of impact if your soft in the head or a knuckle head where that head is located and what it is attached to and the results will vary and I am only...

Kenny I already did the 12 pack stack of chips of my dac tower months ago. Some simple things can make for a nice improvement for those users who are reluctant to go inside. Thats why I mentioned the caps.. Tom

I painted all the shiny centers on the tops of 20 or more capacitors in my transport..Simple and easy pretty much an obvious bulls eye. Sound stage became even more coherent and much denser. One of the best returns of any of the TC applications I ...

Geoff,I had a method to virtually eliminate the RFI shield aspect of my conclusion. I will write a follow up post soon..Tom
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
All about a change in response where the compressive wave switches over to shear wave at the intersection of the plate and drywall. The treated plate becomes a speed and polarity shifter..More treatment places to follow. Tom
