| Is there an affordable long run XLR preamp to amp cable out there? You mention 20 feet. If 3 meters is sufficient Emotiva has a sale on their Neutrik terminated 3 meter XLR cables at $22.50 each. They seem well made. I just installed them and didn’t notice any deficiencies. | |

| Newbie seeking any advice Jim Smith’s Book is excellent. Speaker placement is the most important. Consider the Sumiko Master Set Method. If your CD player has a digital out consider an outboard DAC from Schiit, Cambridge, ARCAM or other affordable companies. Good luck. | |
