"Balanced Output" Phono Pre-amp??
Thinking of it, a cartridge is the only true balanced source in a stereo system. All phono pre-amps should be balanced, but there are hardly any. 
Whats the best type of digital cable?
ST optical is the best, but just too expensive. So stick with balanced SP/DIF (XLR) or plain SP/DIF. If you have XLR connectors to both transport and DAC go for it, but this is not a 75 Ohm connection (I think it is 110 Ohm) so it needs a differen... 
Please recommend Tube pre-amp(s)
i like the Unison Research Mystery, but as it is an Italian product, it might be too expensive in USA (as US products are much more expensive in Europe).

Difficult to say. Mr. Vandersteen himself recommends tube amps and I think he uses Audio Research for home use. However the Model 2 is not the best in sensitivity and it will need a powerful tube amp to drive the woofers properly. Unfortunately th... 
Anyone has heard the Sony SACD Player
When playing SACD disks it is amaizing. As a CD player, it not as good as the competition. But until SACD disks are plenty and cheap, who cares? I only bought a CD player when I could no longer buy the LPs I wanted.
