I want to digitally record my vinyl but I'm not sure how to approach it successfully. The best, or most correct ADC is always the place to start and that can be as big a minefield as DACs. Not necessarily the most expensive in a financial range, but the most well and properly implemented. There is a fundamental problem, a fundamenta...
Is Velodyne gone? When the class d amps go out, it is many times due to a few small electrolytic capacitors aging and going off spec. Repair patterns emerge. Class D amplifiers are very hard on some of the capacitors and other components in their designs, and age r...
Beware the audio guru Everybody gots themselves a little tiny Dunning-Kruger inside. All it needs is the right stimulus to get it up an’ a’ goin’. When we each reach our limit on a given thing, we move from safe ground to unknowns, or not fully fleshed out stuff..where...

Yanni or Laurel? My post was hinting about how there is likely going to be a strong correlation in the fuse and cable debate, and where that person stands in the fuse/cable debate..vs whether they hear yanni or laurel.I suspect that some minimal majority at t...
Yanni or Laurel? I can concentrate and move the slider about 95% in other other direction (starting at the one given end) and still hear only the one starting word.Ie, good discernment an separation skills. It’s that thing that allows us to hear someone speaking in...
Yanni or Laurel? I don't hear either. All I hear is "kill them, kill them all." But then again, I hear that all the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb8GBSbBES0
