Room acoustics
now you know why some guys bring big leafy plants to shows...and put them in the corners and the hotspots of their room...
Will an angled enclosure effect the sound of a passive radiator?
I hear exactly what you are saying but, there are secondary concerns, and they have their explanations. Some of this gets into the lore of speaker design, and is generally tightly held as it is part of what can make a speaker company successful, v...
Room acoustics
It is 100% germane to the scenario in your room. It has to be mentioned, noted/corrected and then--deal with the entire package. which has now been done.Good luck fixing it. (bass-midbass)
Room acoustics
Your big problem will be that the measurements will be way off in the bass, and considered by the measurement formulas/methods to be impossible to navigate and thus.... not relevant. Even your measurement systems, a weighting, c weighting, ...they...
Will an angled enclosure effect the sound of a passive radiator?
Depends. All you can do is try it out. At low frequencies the bass should be uniform and move the passive radiator evenly. But since a passive rad has no support other than the front surround in most cases, you can eventually get into a situation ...

Need to replace a Denon PD-23F power switch?
I’m guessing it’s a tv-3 or sw-3 switch. single pole, two leads, push button, two screw mount switch...common as grass.http://p.globalsources.com/IMAGES/PDT/BIG/980/B1051156980.jpgtv-5 will work fine as well. Just about any old amp that has a push...
Audiophiles should learn from people who created audio
Isn’t it odd that the majority of posts are about the things that have the least sonic signature: electronics and cables (not to mention fuses, grrrr...), and far less about what matters more: speakers and, above all, the room. Room interaction d...

Teo Game-Changer IC's - get on the bus!
No, bumperdoo is not Teo. He has heard the Teo cables, yes. Even some of the prototypes. I believe he may have one (cable) in his system right now. As for the passive thing, I dunno. Two reviewers both think it is ’state of the art’ regardless of ...
Audiophiles should learn from people who created audio
Science comes after observation. Observation is the origin point. If the science ends up nullifying the observation and the observation persists, then the science may be wrong, ie, not sufficient to discern or negotiate the given situation. Science...
Audiophiles should learn from people who created audio
Having been involved in work on video projection engines(how individual circuits I gear affects final outcome), both analog and digital, the optical intricacies (glass coatings, lens design, etc)..the screens, their placement, their design at the ...
Audiophiles should learn from people who created audio
No correlation between intelligence and visual skills, science says. That is the implication of a new study which shows for the first time that there is a broad range of differences in people’s visual ability and that these variations are not asso...
Directionality of wire
Teo, you say very stupid things. Everybody does, or should know, quantum electrodynamics is the governing theory on how electronics work. At least Geoff makes me laugh. Right.https://phys.org/news/2017-11-fluidic-transistor-ushers-age-liquid....
