Pre amp for Krell FPB & Teac P-70 & D-70??
I second the Krell KCT preamp since you have the 600c amp and the 28c CD player. And if you don't want to spend a ton of money on interconnects definitely go with the Krell CAST cables. This combo is terrific.
What better the Krell KPS 28C??
Hi,I agree with Jaynewt. I have the 28c connected to the KCT preamp and two FPB600c amps. The synergy is outstanding especially when using the CAST cabling. I've had mine for two years now and couldn't be happier. Krell has discontinued the 28c CD...
Krell Reliability?
I have an all Krell system made up of two FPB 600c stereo amplifiers, a 28c CD player, KCT preamp, KPE phono preamp and CAST cabling. All have worked flawlessly for two years except the CD player. A couple of days after purchasing the 28c, the pla...
Looking for an outstanding DAC
I also have the Chord DAC 64 and have been very pleased. I still believe its a bargain and made a big difference in what was already an excellent system. But I too wanted to experiment with another DAC. I purchased a second hand, mint dcs Elgar an...
Are Sonus Faber Cremonas "Tube Friendly"?
I don't know what the minimum power would be but the Cremonas loves tubes. Many Cremona owners have sung the praises of tubes on this website as well as Audio Asylum. I pair them with a pair of Hovland Sapphire amps and they sing. These are incred...
Dunlavy Support ?
Hello, I had a tweeter blow out in one of my Dunlavy VIs a few months ago. I also called Audio-Video Logic. Very nice people but they told me all remaining parts were being held for customers who had purchased Dunlavy Speakers from them after Audi...
Has Anyone heard the New 200 gram CSNY "Deja Vu"?
Let me preface my comments by saying "Deja Vu" is one of my all time favorite albums. The Classic release was planned long ago but was delayed for some time so I decided to fork out some heavy dough for a mint MFSL copy. Wow! Now I know why it's ...
Japanese Pressing Vinyl question
Wow! This is one of the most informational threads I have enjoyed in a while. I learned a lot about the vinyl pressing process and the pride taken by the Japnese to produce quality products. Thanks guys!I just received some Japanese "Yes" albums t...
Sonus Faber Cremona
Give the Cremonas an audition even though you may have a long drive ahead of you. I think it it will be worth your while. Three weeks ago, I was looking for a better speaker match for my Hovland Sapphire tube amps. I actually started looking at t...
Attention: Dunlavy Audio Labs out of business
I am also saddened by the news that Dunlavy has ceased operations. Two years ago, after a somewhat exhaustive search for speakers, I purchased the Dunlavy Vs in the exotic Kevazinga wood finish. (I agree that the standard finishes leave a lot to b...
which amp is the best for 2 channel and HT?
The EAD Powermaster 2000 would be a great choice for your EAD Signature. I have one hooked up to an EAD Ovation Plus and have never looked back. Incredible sound for both music and home theater.Since purchasing this combo, I have also invested in ...
Opinions on Hovland HP 100
I ordered my HP 100 at the beginning of October and it arrived a week ago. It was worth the wait. I'm getting more out of my system than I had before. Outstanding presentation and its barely broken in. The sound is smooth and silky and just to my ...
Crosby, Stills & Nash Album Deju Vu
Classic Records is supposed to release a new audiophile version of Deja Vu sometime in the near future. It was suppose to be out a few months ago but got delayed. As Musicdoc mentioned, Classic has released the first Crosby Stills Nash album. I bo...
Best used 5 channels amp. for both music and movies
I would also add the EAD Powermaster 2000 to your list. Incredible for 2 channel music. Built like a tank. Beautiful to look at, too.
Dunlavy SC-VI
I know..I know...perhaps overkill for surround, but I love it. (My wife says I'm crazy). I have a big home theater room about the size of a very deep three car garage with a high ceiling. What happened was I originally purchased the Vs and was extr...
