Jolida 302B with B&W Natalius 804 I run a Conrad Johnson Premier 11 which is 75 watts or so if memory serves and it is fine with 804's. Conrad Johnson plays VERY nice with B&W and I would recommend you spend a little extra for a premier 11 and a preamp long term you will be ve...

spend more money on pre or power amp ? If you have a good system and you are still feeling harsh there is a very good chance that your room is the problem. Clap your hands and if it sounds harsh or reverbs try deadening the room out before you run and spend tons of money to upgrade you...
Tube Amp Burn-in Sounds like a great setup. Let's compare notes in a week or so. Since I am buying used my tubes will be burned in. I am going svet shopping soon after. I am going to compare it to my musical fidelity a3.2 and plinius 8200. At least one maybe two w...
ConradJohn. CAV50, Jolida 502B, antique sound 1003 The Conrad Johnson and B&W are magic together. I think the cav-50 would be ok for 805's although I would be tempted to get a used MV-55 and a pre amp if budget allows
Tube Amp Burn-in Normally tubes take about 100 hours to burn in. I recently bought a used 100/100 and am waiting for it to arrive. What is your associated gear and what have you found so far. At 100 hours the tubes start to really warm up and even better at 150 ho...
Would like to upgrade to 5.1 and DTD from prologic Honestly to me the best upgrade you can do always is front speakers. But if you want to upgrade your processor look to either the Anthem, the Rotel or the Sony ES in my opinion. I have a sony es receiver and use the pre-out to a power amp for the ...
Tube poweramp for B&W Nautilus for under 2k? Thank you very much you really have been quite helpful. I listen to a lot of rock so I will look into the Svetlana's if the used amp I get does not have them already. I have the musical fidelity 3.2 right now and it is really good in many ways but...
Tube poweramp for B&W Nautilus for under 2k? I am sorry I was not more clear. I have the Nautilus 804's. I know there is enough power but how about the rest of the dynamic range? Good tonal balance? What charachteristics do you notice in this piece? Thanks for the reply.
Tube poweramp for B&W Nautilus for under 2k? I am really looking for people who have owned or been in contact with the Vac and B&W's. I appreciate the other responses but am looking a little more specific on this oneTod
Speaker match for Plinius 8200 Mk II I have a subwoofer from B&W that really makes all the difference when it comes to rock/pop
Plinius 8200 v. Musical Fidelity Tri. v. SimI5 I have had the Plinius with my B&W for almost two years now. I always liked it but never tried anything else. When i went to home theatre i used the pre out on my sony ES receiver to the plinius utilizing the power amp portion. I then bought a...
Review: Musical Fidelity A-3cr Amplifier I just got the A3.2 and it is an amazing amp as well. I know that this review is over 6 months old but i had to comment. The 3.2 has the better binding posts and i am just amazed at how natural the music sounds with it in my system. I replaced a P...
Getting into audio for around 3500$...problems... I found the Cal amps a little dry. I highly reccomend the sony 555es cd/sacd player. Great tonal balance. I also agree that your Denon could be improved on with a preamp. |
