any comments on demagnitizing cds ?
Leec, I would agree generally. I have reduced my treatments with the Furutech to once on either side and hear no improvements after that. The Nespa, cleaning originals, and duplicating them have all given greater improvements. I also use my AudioD...
Machina Dynamic Brilliant Pebbles?
If you want a sincere answer, yes they have a modest benefit. It is not of the magnitude of raising your cables off the floor or of using better power cords, but I will neither sell the pair I have nor buy anymore. Of course, like most tweaks, spe...
EMM Labs vs. Esoteric X-01
Fred and another friend whose audio opinions I greatly respect caused me to try the Esoteric X-01 Limited Edition. I am very happy that I tried it. I had a EMM Dac6 and the EMM modified Phillips SACD 1000 some time ago. While I hardly found it bri...
What is the best phono preamp you have heard?
I have been using the H-Cat phono for several years. I has the same character as the P-12BX line stage, namely very transparent, open, and clear. It has excellent top and bottom ends.I have not tried other phono stages lately but were I to do so, ...
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
Leec, I just read Quint's AudioAsylum post on the Jena Labs' Esoteric 3D-X cd cleaner, which makes my point. He says the #8500 has been bested.
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
Leec, are you saying that it is superior to UltraBit Gold? My concern is that like the Cool Copy which others touted but I found inferior to the RealityCheck, that I would also not like #8500. I now have piles of digital cleaners and have no idea ...

I don't recall if Quint posts on Audiogon, but I hope he will arrise to the challenge.
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
Tvad, I know, and I think I am crazy, but the Nespa, the RealityCheck, and now the UltraBit Gold have been substantial improvements. I am afraid, however, that comparing the UltraBit with the Nano 8500 is a bridge too far for me.
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
RealityCheck has a new cd treatment, actually two. UltraBit and UltraBit Gold are a single application treatment for fresh cds and cd-rs. I have tried both on both the originals and on cd-rs that were copied with the RC duplicator. I never liked t...
Anyone have experience with the Nanotec Nespa?
Leec, I do think the Nespa treatment is more significant than duplicating and proper cleaning. Of the many cd-rs I have made already, I found one where Nespaing the original and then making a second cd-r and Nespaing it was better than just Nespai...
any experience with the Consonance 211 amps?
Well, 16 watts. They were positively reviewed in Enjoy the Music. I think they are excellent and wondered if others had tried them.
Exemplar Denon 2900 Tube Rolling
Sorry about saying 5695, it is indeed the 5965. I think the 7062 is the same as the E180CC and the 12AV7 the same as the 6829.I might also menton Herbie Hal-O dampening rings. I tried them, but ultimately decided against them.
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
I think many buy directly from SOS, but I bought mine from Ambience Audio in Conn.I bought the first TACT digital amp, but have never had their digital equalizing. I have heard it in others' rooms. Somehow I just don't like what I hear, but I may ...
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
Dan, I don't agree about digital room correction, but dealing with your listening room and quality power supplies have greater impact on your sound than duplicates as you say. This is not to dismiss the impact of duplicates when using a player. In...
Exemplar Denon 2900 Tube Rolling
Call John Tucker at 425 334-4733. There is also the 6829, and the 7062 pinch waist. Also I think there is the 5695, which is what was in my Exemplar 2900. The 7062 PWs are expensive, but this is what I preferred in the 2900. The 3910 and the 5910 ...
