Copper Sleeve over IEC
Ozzy, I suspect there is a resistor in terminal and digital shorting plugs or that they are merely covers, such as those by Cardas.
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
I have through trial and error and with Ted's advice found the right combination. The line and phono stages like the TESLA T2s, the amp the Hologram A, and the Precision AC struck out everywhere except driving the 10SE PowerCell.

Ozzy, I am not at all surprised with what you found, but shorting an output, if it is on, is a no-no.

If this is a question of me, the charging in is at the source. The arrow should go toward the subwoofer amp.
Surge protection, no filtering, no regen please...
All that I can say is that my house has been struck twice by lightening. One time my system was not on but my computer was and had a surge protector. The computer was fried. The second time in another house, my system was on and lightening struck ...
Best Live Recording on LP
Given my age, I am shocked that everything I would have recommended is already listed above. I heavily use live recordings in evaluating equipment.
High Current Monoblocks
I would followup on Mofimadness by saying that I have one of the Sanders Sound Magtech amps. It is stereo but has 500 watts into 8 ohms. I have never had such a powerful and clean sounding amp. There are mono block versions with 1600 watts into 8 ...

Since I have found, along with others, that aluminum is a better shielding material that copper or steel, I would whether simple and cheap aluminum duct tape would be better and would, of course, be easily contoured to any plug. I doubt that it wo...

Ozzy, yep. It is an interesting concept of too much copper dulling the high frequencies. I really don't understand why a conductor with no ground would do anything.

Ozzy, you can get up to 6" copper couplers at http://www.pexsupply.com/Cello-WP0-32-2-CxC-Coupling-1193000-pAfter seeing the demonstration on the Marantz, I bought a volt sensor. I have found it of very little use around the Synergistic Research c...
Cable elevators - conventional wisdom wrong?
Rdoc, what do you make of these differences of opinion? Is it possible that you are both right? This happens so often, that I think everyone should have reservations about others' opinions on components.
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
I considered what I might put under my SR PowerCell tonight. Because of the stiffness of the Hologram A and Ds as well as the Precision power cord to the wall, I ruled out any cones. It would just be too unstable. I do have an unused Acapella Sile...

Joeyboynj, I initially put the PowerCell on a Mana Stand but have never tried it off the stand or on any other stand. Maybe I should try this.
Cable elevators - conventional wisdom wrong?
Dave_b, yep, try ceramics, but use one and only one per all cables.

Clio09, can you not use the cheap little cd boxes rather than jewel boxes? I don't like plastic risers but do wonder whether the type of plastic matters.
