Audio Research VT 100 MKIII
I have owned the mklll since 2001 and it has not given me one problem. 100 percent reliable. I have retubed the amp 3 times and tubes have gone up about 30 percent since I have owned the piece. I think I have spent about 2300.00 on maintenance and...
Which amp to buy? ARC GS150 or Reference 150 SE?
Even though I use ARC products I can tell you that CJ products are a bit sweeter sounding. Whether that is good or bad depends upon the user.
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear
Love those comments Alycat.
New Audio Research Reference 150 SE
Opus 111, you sure know the way ARC operates. It's called operation clean out your checkbook. I am not an ARC hater, in fact I own 2 of their pieces. I guess they can't go after new buyers because there aren't any. So they have to milk the owners ...
Why do some audiophiles beat up McIntosh?
Mc intosh has a built in market. There will always be doctors and lawyers in this world. They don't have to worry about the latest craze in the market. From a business point of view they are in a great place.

ARC Phono Ref 2 SE - Dealer Demo Unit Worth Price?
I have never heard of a store offering 30 percent off new ARC gear. How can they offer 30 percent off when they buy the product for 40 percent off then have to pay for shipping. I think if you can 20 percent off on new ARC gear you are doing great.
Buying equipment
Check with music direct in Chicago. They are very easy to deal with and have a 60 day return policy. They also carry some very nice gear.
FYI: Audeze robbed $250K worth of gear stolen
ZD 452, I hate headphones. I would not take a pair for free.
3/3/2015 Another San Francisco Smash and grab

Smash and grab is not a new term. It's been around for years.

Gun control is not going to stop criminals. Never has, never will.
Smash and Grab at High end Store in San Francisco
I have been professing that audio is dead the last couple of years. With these recent break-ins of 3 high-end audio places maybe audio is making a comeback. You don't steal things no one wants.
